CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin
Growth hormone secretagogues
Research stage2 to 10xrise in growth hormone for 6+ days after CJC-1295 in a phase 1 trial
What it is
CJC-1295 is a long acting GHRH analog. Ipamorelin mimics ghrelin. Both prompt the pituitary to release growth hormone.
Why researchers are interested
- CJC-1295 raised IGF-1 1.5 to 3x in healthy adults (J Clin Endocrinol Metab 2006).
- Ipamorelin was the first selective growth hormone releaser: no cortisol spike in animal studies.
- Ipamorelin was well tolerated in a 114 patient post surgery trial.
Good to know
- Not FDA approved; an FDA panel voted against compounding both in 2024.
- No long term human safety data. Prohibited in sport (WADA).
Evidence level: 2 of 5
